Synchromysticism

" Synchromysticism:
The art of realizing meaningful coincidence in the seemingly mundane with mystical or esoteric significance."

Warren Beatty, Fake News, Hollywood Scandals and Just How Much is Bulworth in 2017?

I've never watched the Warren Beatty movie 'Bulworth', but I've seen enough clips to get the gist of it.
"A suicidally disillusioned liberal politician puts a contract out on himself and takes the opportunity to be bluntly honest with his voters by affecting the rhythms and speech of hip-hop music and culture."
In 2017 it's like somebody took the 'Bulworth' script and flipped it 180 degrees, even though the central character is still a suicidal disillusioned politician.
Warren Beatty turned 80 this year and I remember Chris Knowles at 'The Secret Sun' blog giving a great piece of advice for 2017.
He said to watch out for anniversaries this year, because years ending in seven held great significance for the future ... or something along those lines.
And with Warren turning 80 this year his movies and themes in those movies he made really came home to roost in 2017 on a synchromystic level.
I remember watching the Oscar cock-up at the start of the year where Warren was at the centre of it all, and wondering if 2017 could get much crazier, but it was only warming up, in more ways than one it seems.
And Warren was only there to promote the 50th anniversary of the movie 'Bonnie and Clyde', which he starred in with Faye Dunaway back in 1967.
What Just Happened in La La Land?!
Recently we've had the James Toback alleged sexual harassment headlines in the press and of course Warren starred as 'Bugsy' in the movie that made James famous for having penned it.
Vegas reportedly piqued Siegel and his mob's interest because of its legalized gambling and off-track betting.
At the time, Siegel held a large interest in Trans America Wire, a racing publication.
On June 20, 1947, relaxing in the Beverly Hills house he shared with Hill, who was away at the time, Siegel was shot to death."
"The dΓ©but solo album from The Killers' lead singer Brandon Flowers, Flamingo, is named after the casino."
And let's not forget it was the King's 40th anniversary of his passing this year, too.
Las Vegas Band 'The Killers' - Run For Cover? WTF?
So as far as synchromysticism in Hollywood and Las Vegas goes, Warren Beatty has been right on the money in 2017 ... although maybe not that right when it comes to awards.
And I think Warren could speak with authority in saying that 2017 has been a right cock up of a year so far;-)
But what sort of a dog of a year is 2018 going to be I wonder?
